Jiah Khan and UTV signs a deal of two films together… Jiah Khan, the dusky lass of the tinsel town, is the latest discovery of Bollywood block who has gained the distinctive position in the film industry within short time. After ‘Ghajini’, her potential as an actress was seen more by the masses and the filmmakers. This benefited the actress a lot that now the mammoth production house UTV showed its interest in signing a deal with her. Finally, the deal is done.
Well, Jiah Khan has now signed a two films’ deal with UTV, the company that believes in nurturing talents and then showing it to the world. The production house also cleared the dust on the rumours about Jiah’s being dropped from Ken Ghosh’ next film under UTV banner. Nupur Asthana (screenplay) and Kiran Kotriyal (dialogue writer), who were earlier working on the story, were joined by Manurishi Chadda – the filmfare award winner dialogue writer of Oye Lucky Lucky Oye. Thus after getting coupled with the third writer, there emerged creative changes on the film script. So as per the UTV’s sources, Jiah Khan and UTV mutually agreed that the role now does not suit to her.
When asked Jiah to confirm this news, she said, “With the changes they made on the script and the character, I myself felt that I do not suit the character. However, my relationship with UTV remains the same and they have signed me for two of their future films to be started later this year.” On clearing the air about rumours of Jiah’s being dropped, Ram Mirchandani- COO- UTVRampage Motion Pictures said, “Speculations in the industry about Jiah Khan being dropped out of Ken Ghosh’s project are completely erroneous. It was a mutual decision whereby Jiah opted out of the project seeing a misfit between the character and Jiah. Jiah Khan is a wonderful actor with some amazing talent. We have signed Jiah for our next projects and really looking forward to working with her.”
