The reason for the makers jumping to Part 4 instead of making the third installment is their competition with the Munna Bhai series claim industry insiders.
It is being said that Hera Pheri had achieved cult status amongst Bollywood comedies but Munna Bhai series achieved more critical acclaim and popularity amongst the two. The third film in the Sanjay Dutt – Arshad Warsi starrers has already been announced, titled, Munna Bhai Chale America.
The Hera Pheri makes now want to go one up on them and release their part before the next Munna Bhai film comes out.
