Movie Review: Ek Se Bure Do

Flops have been emerging on Bollywood scene since long even from the beginning of this year. A few films have just enticed the viewers and became hits, rest simply fell flat. ‘Ek Se Bure Do’ is directed by Tarique Khan and stars Arshad Warsi, Rajpal Yadav, Tussha, Vijay Raaz and Govind Namdeo. A very badly made comedy, the film is poor in every sense of the word.
Although the makers have roped in the cast, which holds values in the film world, but why they forgot to add a good script for them? No story, screenpaly and direction are found in this comic caper.
Toti (Arshad Warsi) and Tony (Rajpal Yadav) are small time con men. They are in debt of of small time don. The don hires both of them to find a map to a treasure. They find the map but decide to cheat on the don (Govind Namdeo). What follows next is a chase to find Toti and Tony who are hidden in a house where the treasure is.
Arshad Warsi got a leading role in the film. Guess, which is why he might have signed this film. Rajpal Yadav, who has done leading roles in many films, must have signed this movie due to a main role. But now both of these stars might be feeling shame in promoting this low profile film.
To see the direction, one has to struggle hard. Story is nowhere and the screenplay looks absent in the movie. Other departments fail to register any impact.
Arshad Warsi does not impress at all. Rajpal Yadav nonethless seems okay. Vijay Raaz is great. Rest of the cast is passable.
On the whole, ‘Ek Se Bure Do’ is an utterly bad outing.
