Movie Review: Meri Padosan
Banner: Sagar Creations Producer: Ashok Bagla Director: Prakash Saini Star Cast: Sarvar Ahuja, Sadhika Randhawa, Sanjay Mishra, Khayali, Heena Tasleem, Ashok Bagla Music Director: Ravi Meet, Manoj Negi
Ashok Bagla’s production titled ‘Meri Padosan’ under the banner of Sagar Creations ignites the screens. The low budgeted movies released this Friday and no good movie or big-budgeted movie was witnessed in the cinemas this weekend. The reason is ofcourse the issue of multiplexes and producers, which is going on these days. The low-budget films are taking advantage of this issue but sorry to say, their advantage turns into a disadvantage since no audience is being witnessed in cinemas. Prakash Saini directs this outing that features mostly the debutantes in the film. Sarvar Ahuja, Sadhika Randhawa, Sanjay Mishra, Khayali, Heena Tasleem and Ashok Bagla himself (the producer of the movie) enact in this venture.
There have been no promotions of this film prior to the release. The very low hyped movie is laced with a character called Shyam Gopal Verma (seems, it has been tried to use the name Ram Gopal Verma), who is a struggling director. The movie depicts that how this man tries to find a script to churn out a film on. He gets the story from his neighborhood.
The flick talks about clerk Viju and his better half Kavita who reside in the neighborhood of Shyam. He has come to live with his friend at this place so that he can struggle and get a break in the film industry. Soon he gets an opportunity to showcase his talent in the contest held by Live India channel. But the point is that he has no story at all. Soon the idea comes to his mind to get a story from his neighborhood so he fastens the belts to spy on the couple, who live in his area. He finds the chemistry of the couple interesting. The rest forms the saga of the movie.
The story is very poor. To seek a screenplay, you have to search it with wide opened eyes. The cinematography is a failure. Dialogues disappoint. The music spoils your mood. The performances by the stars are very bad that you start thinking a person walking on the street can do better than them.
On the whole, ‘Meri Padosan’ is the biggest disaster in the history of Hindi cinema. If you want to ruin your mood, then go to watch it. Otherwise, why not to enjoy a cup of tea with the bites of biscuits!
