There is a difference between similarity in compositions and plagiarism. And Pritam Chakraborty, denies the tag of a ‘plagiarist’ completely.
According to Pritam, “Only a section, which is hankering for cheap publicity, is saying such things. As a musician I’m accountable to my producers and directors.”
Zubeen Garg though has a different say about this issue. He says, “During the recording of Ya Ali (Gangster), I knew about its resemblance with the original song Ya Ghali. I even requested Pritam to credit the original but he ignored.”
