Shibani Kashyap meets the president…
 Shibani Kashyap is surely a wonderfuk singer, Bollywood has seen on its music scene. She is going places. Shibani is busy with her new album with her band ‘Sojourne’ currently and also engaged with many musical assignments of films – Sanjay Gupta’s The Great Indian Butterfly and Acid Factory. Kashyap recently received an invitation from the Palatial Mansion of the President of India.
She was lately invited to the Rashtrapati Bhavan on the 8th International Women’s Day hosted by the President Shrinati Pratibha Patil to take an oath to save the girl child. Shibani will compose a track to promote this noble cause. This cause would be supported and promoted by the President herself along with the NGO that is behind this it.
The excited Shibani shares about her experience, “It was a great honour to have met her especially for a noble cause as this. She is very charming but sharp and articulate at the same time, a remarkable woman! It’s just wonderful to see that albeit being very soft spoken and polite, she gives out a very awe-inspiring aura. I wouldn’t know if it’s possible but I hope and desire to feature the President in the album too.”
Shibani further pours the light on, “She immediately introduced me to some organizers and asked them to get started with me on the project. A very sensitive lady, she believes if people like us can get connected to such issues, the battle is half won.”
