Actor – director Dilip Kumar is planning to revive his first directorial venture Kalinga. The film, which has been launched with much fanfare by producer Sudhakar Bokade has been lying in the cans for around 10 – 11 years.
Dilip Kumar says, “I would like to complete my first directorial venture Kalinga. It is a dream venture and I would not want it to be stamped as an incomplete film across my name. The shooting of the film is almost complete. There are few patchworks and a couple of days shoot. Few of my NRI friends are willing to back and complete the project. These days I am not keeping good health, but I will get on with it as soon as I get better.”
Producer Sudhakar Bokade was not available for his comments.
Arguably known as the last emperor in the Indian film world, a living legend, the thespian Dilip Kumar has been a dominant figure for over five decades in the industry. He even lent his voice in Karma as a singer. Now his dreams of fulfilling his ambitious directorial venture also is on the verge of becoming true.
