Eros Entertainment’s ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ makes waves on the screens today. Produced by Viki Rajani, it is directed by Jehangir Surti and stars Neil Nitin Mukesh, Bipasha Basu, Rahul Dev, Sophie Choudry, Bobby Vatsa, Shrivas Nydu, Deepak Dhariwal, Biswajeet Chatterjee ,Tanapath Si-Ngamrat and Sameer Siddiqui.
The concept of the film is without any doubt is interesting and much appealing. But it’s a fact that sometimes the interesting thought does not fit on the screenplay. The same happened with ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ that the idea was pretty good but when the writers put it into the script, it lost its worth. So where does the fault go to? Obviously to the writers, who could not make it gripping. The concept is really enticing that a guy inherits his grandfather’s camera and that electronic thing has the ability to see the future? Doesn’t it appear like a Hollywood science fiction? Yes, it does! But the makers could not project it as was expected.
‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ looks enthralling and emerges a great thriller but as soon as the post interval portion begins, the film starts losing the interest. And it seems as if the writers have run out of the ink of the ideas being confused as to what to do now.
Ray (Neil Nitin Mukesh) is a struggling photographer. One day he inherits a special camera from his grandfather. And this thing completely changes his life. The powerful camera utterly changes his destiny as well since it predicts the future. His life becomes a roller coaster and in the midst of all, he comes across Simi (Bipasha Basu), who is a DJ. Soon he begins to love her. As it’s a saying that when power comes, the responsibility emerges too. And with Ray, besides this, he also bumps into great danger. He is now to face the dark side of the reality and has to defeat the evil forces.
When you attempt to make a science or a suspense thriller, you ought to be very careful to deliver the goods in a simplistic manner so that the viewer can digest and understand it easily. You have to show your skills in a way, one can be with them not in a way that you leave the audiences behind. The same took place with the director Jehangir Surti. The mystery remains the mystery when the movie ends. This is also the big flaw of this enterprise. The mystery should open its knots in the end. When the reels open, soon you get along with Neil’s universe. The sequences do entice when he wins the lotteries and races. The negative force’s (Rahul Dev) introduction is well handled and impressive. But after that, the narrative loosened the worth. The post interval portion should have warped with some extra catchy portions to get the viewer glued to the screen but the writers went for a easy way to wind up the things. Neil and Bipasha’s running starts appearing weird soon. While running, they suddenly begin to dance in a pub. Strange, isn’t it?
Poor script written by Sheershak Anand, Shantanu Ray Chhibber makes all the flaws. Music is horrible. Cinematography is appealing. Stunts are well dolled up.
Neil Nitin Mukesh does a fine job. Bipasha Basu enacts the part well and looks sexy also. Rahul Dev is great to watch. Biswajeet is okay. Sophie Chaudhary is there just for a glamour touch. Rest of the cast is average.
On the whole, ‘Aa Dekhen Zara’ simply falls flat due to the poor script.
