Director Pradeep Sarkar is currently shooting for Laaga Chunari Mein Daag with Rani Mukherjee in the lead. Vidya Balan was offered to play the second lead but she decided to opt out of the project.

Vidya says, “I can’t believe that I am not part of dada’s film. There’s no way I could have let this happen. He is like family to me.”

Vidya disclosed the reason for not doing Sarkar’s film, “I was committed to do Sajid Khan’s Heyy Babyy and thereby could not allot the dates required by dada.”
