Anuj Saxena’s Maverick Productions in association with Mirchi Movies Limited’s ‘Aloo Chaat’ eventually hits the screens all over. The film has been well in news since the outset and the viewers were waiting for the release. The movie stars Aftab Shivdasani, Aamna Shariff, Linda Arsenio, Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Manoj Pahwa, Dolly Ahluwalia, Meenakshi, Sanjay Mishra and Chandan Anand.
We have witnessed Hrishikesh Mukherjee’s flicks in the past and loved to watch them. His movies were simple depicted on the screen with simple manners so that the viewers could absorb easily. Director Robby Grewal tries to follow the pattern set by Hrishikesh and succeeds with finesse.
Nikhil (Aftab), the USA returned guy belongs to an orthodox Punjabi family. He finds himself in a fix as to how to disclose the truth to his family about his love with a Muslim girl Aamna (Aamna Shariff) while studying in the US. His parents start showing him Punjabi girls for wedding. Knowing the temperament of his father Purshottam (Kulbhushan Kharbanda). Thus, Nikhil decides to go to his father’s best friend (Manoj Pahwa), who has a great influence on his father. Together they design a plot to bring Nikhil’s girlfriend (Aamna Sharif) into the family.
Robby Grewal is a great storyteller. His abilities are vivid through his depiction of the interesting subject on the celluloid. He deserves distinction marks. His choice of actors is apt. Divya Nidhi Sharma’s screenplay is fabulous. The music is spongy and hummable.
Aftab Shivdasani is great to watch. Aamna Shariff is not only a beautiful actress but also a superb performer, as she has shown her skills on the television. The debutante attracts hugely. She has potential to be a threat for the Bollywood biggies. Linda Arsenio, the Kabul Express girl impresses with her act. Rest of the cast does well too.
A great entertainer, ‘Aloo Chaat’ will surely provide you a spicy taste. Go and watch it.

Hi Gohar,
It is good to read you review for “Aloo Chaat” which is a slap on the faces of those clever dicks who wasted no time in posting their miserable negative reviews on the Internet within a few hours after the release of the film, which appears only to malign AC and dishearten Amna’s Parastars. We went and saw the film nevertheless, and enjoyed it to the bits and many viewers we spoke to expressed the same opinion. We love your review. Thank you very much. Please do visit Amna’s website, become a member and post your opinion there, we would appreciate it very much.

Salaam Gohar,
It is a breath of fresh air to read your review on “Aloo Chaat” because we were gloomed by the negative reviews of other reviewers elsewhere who came fast and furious soon after the release of the film. We agree with you Aamna is a possible threat to Bollywood biggies; at the moment she is struggling on her own strength to launch herself in the Bollywood but once she got her foothold, we are sure she would give other actresses run for their money. Inshallah!
We took your advice, saw the film and enjoyed every minute of it and we would recommend everyone to see it. It is definitely an “entertainer”. Thank you.

Hi Goher,
I agree wtih you, Aloo Chaat is definitely a “great entertainer”. I wouldn’t like to see it twice but it is worth seeing it once. The film might not look good at the box office, but I hate to see these nrgative reviewers disheartening people from seeing it.
Salaam Namastay.
Hi Goher,
We were little disappoited by the negative reviews of couple of other reviewrs but your review cheered us up. we saw the film with our neighbours and enjoyed it very much. Aamna Shariff is our favourite actress and we are grateful to you for giving good review for her debut film.

Hi Goher,
Compare “Aloo Chaat” with “Bhagam Bgag” in which the central London streets have been incorporated to show what, London to us? The good thing about AC is that it shows streets of Delhi and the real life of real people back in India for a change and that is great for we Asians living in the UK and elsewhere abroad. Aamna Shariff is definitely a glamorous looking lady and is coming up extremely well. We all loved her shoots in the rap song; Aamna, Aftab and RDB all performed extremely well in the song. Thank you for recommending AC; I will recommend it to everyone to see it.
Salaam Namastay.
