Mumbai, 24th May 2007: Boudoir London – Mumbai’s premier lingerie and swimwear destination – showcased its Spring/Summer 2007 swimwear collection on Thursday night at a private event hosted by the British deputy high commissioner.
India’s top models, including Carol Gracias and Nina Manuel, walked the ramp for Boudoir’s London first swimwear show in India, at the Hilton Towers Hotel. The show, aptly named “Licence to Thrill”, reflected the James Bond theme of the evening, turning the models into glamorous Bond girls in the ultimate Bond girl outfit – the swimsuit. The show featured the latest designs in swimwear sourced from London, Paris and South America.
The models stunning makeup was courtesy of MAC who recreated the look of Ursula Andress and Halle Berry in the iconic scene as they emerged from the water dripping with sex appeal.
Boudoir London is owned and run by Dalbir Bains, a British lingerie and swimwear designer with over 15 years experience in buying and designing lingerie collections for the top UK retail chains. Dalbir said, “As Boudoir London hits the ramp for the first time, we are very excited to do so with the first ever stand-alone international swimwear show in India. Whether it is a sexy bikini or a functional one piece, Boudoir London’s collection will bring out the Bond girl in every woman.”
