EXCLUSIVE REVIEW BY HANUMANT BHANSALI
Aap Kaa Surroor – The Moviee marks the acting debut of singer-composer Himesh Reshammiya. The film is being directed by Prashant Chadha, who is the man responsible for the music videos featuring Himesh Reshammiya. The soundtrack of Aap Kaa Surroor is one of the most awaited albums of the year. People are expecting something innovative from the duo of Himesh and Sameer, who have given several hits together. The soundtrack also gives an opportunity to the critics to target Himesh and his music sensibilities.
Assalaam Vaalekum (Singer: Himesh Reshammiya)
Rating: 5.5/10
‘Assalaam Vaalekum’ comes in totally three versions. Apart from the normal version, there is a remix and a dark mix to catch up with. Himesh Reshammiya brings nothing innovative in this track which is targeted mainly for the mass audience. The rhythm is pacy and carries a sufiyana flavour in the track. The remix versions sound better than the original track. The song will gain popularity due to its pace and catchy lyrics.

Tera Mera Milna (Singer: Himesh Reshammiya, Shreya Ghoshal)
Rating: 6/10
After the pacy Assalaam Vaalekum, Himesh joins in with co-singer Shreya Ghoshal for a slow romantic number ‘Tera Mera Milna’. The song is melodious and the lyrics sync with the soft music. There are two other versions of this song, the regular mix and the house mix, which add some more pace and instrumentals to the track. All in all, the song is catchy but not a classic.

Jhooth Nahi Bolna (Himesh Reshammiya, Shreya Ghoshal)
Rating: 5.5/10
To me, the album is directing towards a place where Himesh is playing safe and I haven’t found anything innovative to write about. ‘Jhooth Nahi Bolna’ is a romantic track with Indianized flavour in it. The track is melodious and goes well with any mood. The musical beats of classic instruments like ‘tabla’ are extensively heard throughout the track. Here too, the sound boasts of conventional Hindi music.
