Chaurahen comes across as a film which presents fiction as an altruistic reality. The film presents the incidents that transform the flight of the imagination into the truth of day to day life. Chaurahen has been directed by Rajshree Ojha who is also the writer and the producer of the film. It stars some of the known names from the Hindi Film Industry such as Soha Ali Khan, Zeenat Aman, Shyan Munshi and Victor Bannerjee among others.
The story revolves around multiple characters and the harsh traits that they face in life. Faroo and Ira live in Mumbai. Faroo is 35 years in age and is preoccupied by his past, which revolves around his dead parents and their memories. In this mess, he is missing on getting a new lease of life – love in Ira. Finally, she leaves him and he is left all by himself – alone.
The next string of the film is connected with Nandi and his family. They live in Cochin. Nandi is one of the three children and an architect in Vienna by profession. Situations turn up in such a way that he has deal with the reality of his brother’s loss in a war. In quest of hiding his love Jeffery, he puts on a fake relationship with a European woman. All in all, he is unable to connect with India because of his past.
Radha Bose is the spouse of Dr. Siddarth Bose who is a rich surgeon in Kolkata, in his fifties. Their marriage is nothing less than a compromise as Dr Bose is in a affair with Laila, a young woman who works at a bookstore. Radha Bose is still determined about their passionless romantic marital life and believes in the theory of “Love is to let go”.
Faroo, Nandi and Radha Bose meet in a high evolving dramatic situation on the airport. They are amidst the crossroads of their life. The story ends with the way in which they resolve the issues connected to them and the path that they choose to follow.
