Sunrise Radio has signed up Bollywood’s King Khan – Shah Rukh Khan – for this year’s London Asian Lifestyle Show.
The news was confirmed by Breakfast presenter Tony Patti this morning on Sunrise Radio. The station has been on a high recently after continuing its successive run as the UK’s most popular Asian radio station in RAJAR figures, which were announced last week.
A statement from Sunrise Radio said the following: “Tony Lit & Vijay Saggar are pleased to announce the Attendance of Bollywood’s number one Super star Shah Rukh Khan at the reliance India Call Asian Lifestyle Show At London Olympia.
“On running a survey at last years show 94% said that the star they would like to most see and meet is Shah Rukh khan, so as organisers we went all out to sign up the Iconic SRK for the show.
“SRK will be Signing autographs and pictures with fans at the Western Union Autograph arena, appearing on the Shaadi.com Fashion Catwalk and also appearing on the Bollywood connect entertainment stage interacting with Sunrise radio Djs and his fans.
“SRK will be appearing on the 7th and 8th July.”
It was evident Sunrise Radio was to sign a huge star for its London show after a lukewarm response for the Birmingham Asian Lifestyle Show, which took place in March. Bollywood star Lara Dutta pulled out of her appearance 24 hours before the event was to begin due to reasons unknown.
Shah Rukh Khan is undoubtedly the Asian Lifestyle Show’s biggest signing in its four-year history.
The event takes place at London Olympia on 6th, 7th and 8th July.
Cricketer Monty Panesar has also confirmed his attendance for the Asian Lifestyle Show.
