1): Aloo Chaat (RDB and Nindy Kaur)
The title track is sung by RDB mainly and Nindy Kaur provides some support too. A kind of a Indi pop number, it features the shouting voices of RDB and a poor rendition by Nindy. The lyrics are ordinary. On the whole, it’s a party type of number that seems mundane.
Rating: 1/5
2): Dhake Jiya (Xulfi)
Next emerges is a romantic spongy number rendered by Xulfi (of Call Band from Pakistan). Xulfi is the one who pens the lyrics for the album also. The music is appealing. Go for it.
Rating: 7/10
3): Dhake Jiya – Remix
The song appears in a remix version also. The boisterous beats glide on the ears instantly.
Rating: 7/10
4): Boliyan (Nindy Kaur)
Nindy Kaur, this time around, gets the mike for full time to croon the lines. It’s a Punjabi folk ilk of number having Punjabi lyrics to enjoy with. The moment, the song starts running it shows that it’s a celebration kind of track played during the functions in Punjab. Those, who can understand the Punjabi lyrics well, will definitely take joys out of it. For others, it’s appealing as well because the electrifying music is the key element that sends chill through the bodies.
Rating: 7.5/10
5): Aloo Chaat (Kailash Kher) – Second Version
This version of the title track is written and composed by Vipin Mishra. It consists of Punjabi lyrics to match the movie’s theme, as the storyline is based around the Punjabi family. Kailash Kher attracts with the vocals. Music is fabulous to hear.
Rating: 7/10
6): Aloo Chaat – Remix Version
The remix version holds values as well. You can hear it safely.
Rating: 6.5/10
7): Life is a Sizzling Aloo Chaat (Kunal Ganjawala)
The fire like voice singer, who whenever attempts to croon any kind of song, injects his full enthusiasm, that is why his skills are acknowledged. With this number, he deserves full marks also. Syed Gulrez writes apt lyrics to convey the theme of the song. Music gels well with the mood of the track. A good way to conclude the album.
Rating: 7.5/10
Conclusion:
The soundtrack of ‘Aloo Chaat’ is appealing to ears. The sales would be good on the stands. But the high sales volumes could also have been seen provided that it would’ve been released long time ago (much before the release since the film is to hit the theaters by the end of this month). Nevertheless, sales could boost if publicity volume is increased.
Overall Rating: 7.5/10
