Anupam Mittal and Aditya Shastri churn out a flick titled, ‘99’ under the banner ‘People Pictures’. Two directors have been roped in to direct this film. Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK do this job. Kunal Khemu, Soha Ali Khan, Boman Irani, Cyrus Broacha, Simone Singh,Mahesh Manjrekar and Vinod Khanna complete the star cast list.
Storyline:
The film is laced with five prominent characters:
Sachin – is the guy who is always swathed with many ideas but sadly he does not get any help from his buddy Zaramud so that he can implement them.
Pooja – is a Delhi girl, who has an unexplored wild side.
Rahul – is an ordinary guy but with splendid extraordinary qualities which draw luck in his favor.
Zaramud – is the man who is draped with the least commonsense. He and Sachin gets into trouble everytime Zaramud tries to do something.
JC – is the one who likes to touch the heights and would like to have an edge over everybody else around.
The movie draws an inspiration from the real life incident happed in the year 1999, when the whole world got stuck at the number 99. Everyone was thinking as to what will happen in the next century after the year 1999. The film is conceptualization of the unperceivable. The movie emerges with many comical angles and hilarious characters.
All the leading characters get into unpredictable situations like the ones – getting in to a car crash, receiving a briefcase containing money, romancing and all, in the midst of the changing century.

The film is slated for May 2009 release.
