Sangeeth Sivan made films like Chura Liya Hai Tumne and Kya Kool Hain
Hum. Another thriller of his for Jackie Shroff called Sandhya has not
yet released. But Sivan is in Sivanth heaven with his film Apna Sapna
Money Money for Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts carrying good reports and
getting ready for release.
Tell us about Apna Sapna Money Money?
The film is all about money. Celina Jaitley brings diamonds from Goa
to Mumbai with a cop Suniel Shetty hot on her heels. She puts the bag
of diamonds into a bag belonging to a kathak dance master played by
Riteish Deshmukh. From Riteish it moves on to Riya and the story
continues along side the confusion.
The film has 15 characters in main roles.
Yes there are. The story is thus. Apart from Suneil Shetty, Celina,
Riteish, Riya and Koena Mitra, there are others like Jackie Shroff,
Shreyas Talpade, Anupam Kher, Rajpal Yadav and Chunkey Pandey too in
very important roles.
Believe me I have had no problems shooting the film with many actors
as barring Shreyas and the women, I have worked with the rest before.
The fact is that everyone in the project was happy with their role and
weren’t bothered about how much footage they were getting in the film.
That was a determining factor ion the entire film.
Ritiesh is a conman in the film yet again.
So what. This film is different. My conman is different as he uses a
lot or disguises to con people and it is an interesting premise
Riteish plays an eighty year old Nepali, fifty year old Kathak master
and he plays a girl named Sania and will be seen in three roles.
Shreyas had serio-comic roles in Iqbal and Dor. How is he is a full
fledged comedy?
Shreyas Talpade is the only serious guy in this film. I wanted a very
simple person for the role and Shreyas suited it. In fact when I had
the final script in my hand, only Ritiesh had been spoken to. Subhash
Ghai the producer of the film believed in the story and backed me and
I got the rest of my cast. Ritiesh is the hero of the film along with
14 others. People like Jackie and Suneil too have some lovely roles.
What’s up your sleeve next?
I am talking to other producers as well apart from Mukta Arts. If
things work out, I may do more films with Mukta Arts.
