Director Ujjwal Chatterjee’s of Escape From Taliban and Uthan fame, is currently working on his new film which is based on the Tsunami and the disasters it had caused.
He plans to rope in Amitabh Bachchan, Aamir Khan and Rani Mukherjee for his film as he believes that if a story needs to be conveyed then stars need to present it. As Ujjal says, “Films made on natural calamities have rarely succeeded, because none is interested in seeing them. So we have to tell the story in an entertaining way with stars if necessary. I have spoken to Rani but nothing has been finalized.”
“I am still working on the script with Thomas Bean a Hollywood script writer. My Guruji Shri Ravi Shankarji gave me the story and wants me to make a film on the Tsunami and the disasters it caused,” he added.
