Bachke Tu Rehna Re Bachke Tu Rehna…Khallas!! I have understood the dynamics of business. One needs to undergo a numb phase where the call is just for the cause. Here too, I have recognized the categories of people who have to listen to the dull and stale songs. There are two – the film unit and the critics, like me. The music of Khallas lacks everything. The film boasts of three music directors and the same number of lyricists. Disappointingly, all have done a bad job. At least, I would not like my readers to listen to songs that musically stink.
Khallas (Singer: Tarannum Mallik)
Rating: 1/10
Music composer Iqbal Darbar teams up with lyricist A.M. Turtaz to churn out the title song of the album ‘Khallas’. Singer Tarannum Mallik lends her voice for one real bad song of our mainstream cinema. She sounds amateurish and lacks vocal finesse. Overall, ‘Khallas’ does not match the standards set by Sandeep Chowta’s Khallas in Company.
Gohar Laga Ya Laal (Singer: Tarannum Mallik)
Rating: 1/10
Tarannum Mallik tries her voice yet again on the words of A.M. Turtaz and the notes of Illyas. Gohar Laga Ya Laal is an item song which gives a feel of a bar dance number. Musically, it is out of place and cracks you up with its lyrics. There is nothing you will enjoy about this one too.
Hothon Ko Tere (Singer: Tarannum Malik)
Rating: 0.5/10
The music directors seem to have an extra soft spot for Tarannum Mallik to give her yet another chance in Hothon Ke Liye. Hothon Ke Liye is a seductive number which is all about kissing, smooching and things like that. The mood is enforced into the song instead of creating one , which happens to be the negative part of the track.
Sabse Haseen (Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan)
Rating: 1/10
Sunidhi Chauhan’s presence too can’t help the soundtrack of Khallas from sinking big time as the music composers and lyricists of the film lack complete vision. In Sabse Haseen, Suresh Raheja relivens the age old tunes from the early 90s (from flop films) and presents it in Sabse Haseen. Shhabir Ahmed’s lyrics too are uninspiring. Sunidhi Chauhan voice adds no colour to the track.
Rab Di Kasam (Singers: Udit Narayan, Sunidhi Chauhan)
Rating: 2/10
I finally close on with the rating wise best track of the film, Rab Di Kasam. The duet has been sung by Udit Narayan and Sunidhi Chauhan. Shockingly, Ravi Chopra has written the lyrics for this one and the words are taken from the age old books of rejected lyrics.
Radiosargam Soundtrack Rating: 1/10
