Emraan Hashmi starrer The Train is a romantic thriller directed by Raksha Mistry and Hasnain S Hyderabadwala. The album has a very unique sound of music as debutante music composer Mithoon redefines techno sound in this soundtrack. Mithoon is not a new name in the film circuit as he has been arranging music for songs like ‘Woh Lamhe’ (Zeher), ‘Aadat’ (Kalyug) , ‘Tere Bin’(Bas Ek Pal) , ‘Maula’ & ‘ Javeda Zindagi‘ (Anwar). Sayeed Quadri as penned the lyrics and words work like magic with the tunes of Mithoon.
Woh Ajnabee (Singers: Mithoon, Shilpa Rao)
Rating: 8/10
Following the steps of Himesh Reshammiya, Mithoon is a young and talented music composer who grabs the mike along with Shilpa Rao. The outcome is a pacy number Woh Ajnabee. The tune is new and quite techy. Shilpa amazes throughout the track and stands out in the song. The song is hummable and its Club Mix is a complete rocker. The minimal music and Shilpa’s voice stands out in this track.

Beete Lamhe (Singer: KK)
Rating: 8/10
The song starts with a small stint with the flute and reminds you of ‘Maula Mere Maula’ from Anwar. Sayeed Quadri’s lyrics amaze you like never before while KK processes through a track with galore of quality. The track draws inspiration from the latest trend that has been set by Jal and Atif Aslam. The lyrics are poetic and will be loved by all music lovers.

Mausam (Singer: Mithoon)
Rating: 7/10
Mithoon grabs the mike yet again with the slow and sad Mausam. Sayeed Quadri’s lyrics have a very deep meaning. Mithoon’s crooning suits the feel of the track. The song is situational and suits the down and low character of the protagonist Emraan Hashmi.

Teri Tamanaa (Singer: KK, Zubeen Garg)
Rating: 6/10
This time singers Zubeen Garg and KK team up for a yet another pacy number after Woh Ajnabee. Comparatively, the song fails to meet the standards set by the other tracks of the film. The lyrics are ordinary and so is the sound of music arrangements. The song reappears in the Club Mix and Euro Mix versions, which is better than the original one. Likewise, it is good to hear and will find a place in your car stereo.
