Hamray munnabhai chalay Africa…
Sanjay Dutt is rising high with politics nowadays. Now another feather to his politics’ cap gets attached to it. Well, South Africa’s ruling party, the African National Congress (ANC), has invited the actor turned politician to do the campaigning for their upcoming elections. Since the macho actor is much busy with film assignments and political matters, he took time out especially for this and left for Durban last night where he will be campaigning round the clock for the next two days.
About this trip, hamray Munnabhai confirms the news, “Yes, the ANC has invited me to South Africa to kick off the campaign for their president-elect Mr. Zuma.”
Dutt looked much happy about this trip to South Africa. Do you know the reason? The reason is that his political career is also going to start from South Africa like Mahatma Gandhi.
On this, Dutt utters, “It’s an amazing coincidence. But Mahatma Gandhi’s political career started in South Africa, and even mine will kick start from South Africa now, in a way. Because I’m going to visit those areas which are now considered Gandhiji’s settlements in Durban with Mr Zuma for a day.”
About Sanjay’s popularity, the CEO for his film company Sanjay Dutt Productions, told, “South Africa has a sizeable Indian population who are crazy about Indian films and film stars. But Mr. Dutt is a special craze among Indians in South Africa. Yes, the ANC has asked Mr Dutt to campaign and influence votes among the Indians.”
Sanjay will return to Mumbai on 3rd of March to start shooting for his film, ‘Blue’.
