Mugdha Godse replaces Katrina Kaif in Rohit Shetty’s next…
 Mugdha Godse, the renowned model turned actress with her debut flick ‘Fashion’, has replaced the Bollywood’s hot property Katrina Kaif in Rohit Shetty’s upcoming comedy to be produced by Ajay Devgan.
Rohit Shetty’s ‘Golmaal Returns’ allured the viewers in full last year and ignited the box office with super results. He confirmed that Katrina was her first choice.
He said, “Yes, we wanted Katrina Kaif in the project. She would have been a definite value-add. It’s a pity though that she can’t be doing my film because the dates of my film clash with some other assignments of hers.”
Ajay Devgan wanted to cast Katrina and even asked Salman Khan for this but Katrina refused due to her heavy shooting schedules.
Then Ajay and Rohit hired Mugdha Godse in place of Katrina Kaif. Mugdha is too much happy for this offer. She is currently doing Madhur Bhandarkar’s next project ‘Jail’ opposite Neil Nitin Mukesh.
About this role in Shetty’s film, Mugdha says, "I love singing and dancing around trees and have no contempt for hardcore commercial Hindi films. I’m happy to be playing one of the female leads in the film. Moreover, my part requires me to look glamorous as well as add to the plot.”
When asked her that did she know that Katrina was the first choice for this role, she expressed, "I have heard about this, but frankly I don’t worry about such things. Cliched as it may sound, replacements do happen in the industry. I don’t know whether I’m replacing anybody or not. but I’m glad about playing an interesting character.”
She looks much excited about this role and says, "I’m happy to be paired opposite Fardeen Khan and I love that man’s style. Moreover, I’m being directed by Rohit who has never put a foot wrong. He is a guy who thinks commercial cinema and knows how to get his audience engaged in theatres. I’m sure I will have a blast working in this film.”
Well, we will surely wait to see you on screen and hope this time you will entertain us again like in Fashion.
