After Hattrick, UTV Motion Pictures’ latest offering Life in a… Metro, which is slated for release on 11 May will see its online premiere on Rajshri.com.
“We are delighted to announce the online premiere of UTV’s eagerly anticipated film, Life In A… Metro on 11 May, day and date with its worldwide theatrical release,” says Rajshri Media managing director Rajjat Barjatya.
UTV senior vice president marketing and communication Siddharth Roy Kapur adds, “With the online premiere of Life In A… Metro we are mainly targeting the south Asian diaspora.”
The film will also be premiered in Dubai, London, Melbourne, Mumbai from next week onwards. This development, which took place following Shilpa Shetty’s victory on UK’s reality show Celebrity Big Brother, will in turn help the film have a wider overseas audience and its online premiere will only act as a bonus means for ensuring a wide reach for the movie.
The movie also stars Shiney Ahuja, Kay Kay Menon, Konkana Sen Sharma, Sharman Joshi, Kangna Ranaut. The film is about the thrills and shrills of being a metro citizen. Metro is an intertwined story of the emotional journeys that these characters living in the modern metropolitan cities take. The tone of this film is personal reflections and realizations, and thus the story will be told in voiceovers at times and a rock band singing at all emotional junctures.
