Shabana Azmi says ‘No’ to Karan Johar…
 She is a powerful actress with a brilliant brain to act on screen and she has proved it in every performance on celluloid. Shabana Azmi is working in Karan Johar’s ‘My Name in Khan’ starring Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol in the main leads. Since the movie has been pushed to March because of Shah Rukh’s surgery, Azmi has to opt out of the project.
The reason is that the dates of Gurinder Chadda’s film are clashing with Karan’s movie, which is why Shaban refused Karan Johar.
A close source reveals, “Although she had only one powerful sequence with Shah Rukh, Shabana was keen to do the film because she has never shared screen space with SRK before. But the dates for It’s a Wonderful Afterlife had already been finalised and so Shabana could not give fresh dates to Karan Johar.”
Earlier the hubby Javed Akhtar too had refused Karan Johar to write lyrics for this film.
Karan Johar is now on the lookout for the actress in place of Shabana.
