The latest release at the UK box office, Kya Love Story Hai has fallen flat in its opening day itself. Whereas, last week’s title holders, ‘Provoked’ and ‘Namastey London’ continue to have a good run at the ticket window. Meanwhile, Namesake is doing record breaking business in the US.
UK Box Office
• Provoked: The Aishwarya Rai starrer continues to pull in audiences to the theatres in its third weekend as well. The film has slipped from its last week’s Position no. 14 to this week’s 17. The film collected £ 45,870 this week with a net collection of £ 400,672 [approx. Rs. 3.32 crores]. It is currently showing at 30 screens across UK.
• Kya Love Story Hai: Another Tusshar Kapoor film gets a poor opening with the film debuting at Position No. 22. The film managed to collect £ 26,297 [approx. Rs. 21.81 lacs]. The film is currently showing at 17 screens.
• The Namesake: The film is not doing as good as it is in US. But, it managed to get average collection of £ 22,977 on 17 screens in its fourth weekend. The net collection is £ 430,350 [approx. Rs. 3.57 crores].
• Namastey London: The film continues to do steady business even in its fifth weekend. The film has slipped from its last week’s Position No. 18 to this week’s 24. Though it has collected £ 18,346 on 21 screens this week. The net collection for the film is £ 849,393 [approx. Rs. 7.04 crores].
• Shakalaka Boom Boom: The film continues to slip on the charts going down from last week’s Position No. 23 to this week’s 33. In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 5,944 with a net collection of £ 166,759 [approx. Rs. 1.38 crores]. It is currently showing at 18 screens.
• Big Brother: The film has been a flop venture for director Guddu Dhanoa at the UK box office with the film slipping way down from its last week’s position NO. 32 to this week’s 52. The film has collected £ 2,038 on 7 screens in its second weekend.

• The Namesake: The film is enjoying wide screening across the entire Us at 327 screens in total. It has already been declared a blockbuster though it has slipped from last week’s Position No. 17 to this week’s no. 21. The film has collected $ 755,540 in its seventh weekend with net collections of $ 9,796,225 [approx. Rs. 40.69 crores]. At the New York box office, the film is doing exceptional business and is at position No. 14 from last week’s 15. The film has collected $ 89,174 on 31 screens across New York this weekend.
Australia Box Office
The Namesake: The film is doing above average at most places though it has slipped down from last week’s Position No. 15 to this week’s 20. The film has collected Australia $ 72,914 in its third weekend. The film is currently showing at 37 screens.
