The film is about a car racer played by Saif and his family and their experiences during the span of his career.

It captures the highs and lows of the sport and its effect on the family and how to learn to smile and sing in the face of adversity. Hence, Ta Ra Rum Pum.

After directing Saif Ali Khan and Preity Zinta in Salaam Namaste, the young Siddarth Anand is ready with his next release under the Yashraj Banner, Ta Ra Rum Pum, a story about a racing driver starring Saif and Rani Mukerji.
