The latest releases are a no-show at the overseas ticket windows with ‘Big Brother’ managing to get a release in the UK whereas, Life Mein Kabhie Kabhiee couldn’t even get a release here. The past week’s releases are still doing well with ‘The Namesake’s thunderous business in US and even in Australia. Provoked continues to do well in UK. On the other hand, a masal flick like Namastey London is a smash hit across both UK and US.
UK Box Office
• Provoked: The ‘Aishwarya Rai’ and the ‘near-to-home’ factor seems to be working well for the film as it continues to have a good run this weekend too. The film has slipped down to Position No. 14 from last week’s Position No. 11, though it has already collected £ 73,191 on 34 screens in its second weekend itself.
• Namastey London: The film has been declared a hit in the UK with good collections in the fourth weekend as well. The film has moved down from Position No. 15 to 18 this weekend. The Vipul Shah film has collected £ 34,991 and is currently showing on 40 screens across UK.
• The Namesake: The film continues to perform below average to average in UK in comparison to its stupendous collections in US. The Mira Nair film went down from position No. 16 to 19 this weekend. In its third weekend, the film has collected £ 33,472 on 26 screens
• Shakalaka Boom Boom: The film is slowly dying out at the UK box office and slipped down from Position No. 17 to No. 23 this weekend. The film managed to collect £ 16,548 in its second weekend. Its currently been screened at 29 screens from last weekend’s 40 screens showing.
• Big Brother: The Sunny Deol film opened to dull response debuting at Position No. 32. The film is currently showing at only 9 screens in UK. In its opening weekend, the film has only managed to collect £ 6,867 [approx. Rs. 5.76 lacs]

US Box Office
• The Namesake: Even in its sixth weekend, the film continues to do good business in US though slipping down from last week’s Position No. 13 to this week’s No. 17. The film is currently running in 331 screens across US and has collected $ 1,244,852 this weekend. The film is a success at New York theatres too collecting $ 146,583 on 31 screens this weekend. The film has been declared a blockbuster in the US.
• Namastey London: The Akshay Kumar starrer has been declared a hit in the US too though it slipped down from its last week’ Position No. 29 to this week’s No. 47. In its fourth weekend, the film has collected $ 57,235 and is currently showing on 65 screens.
Australia Box Office
• The Namesake: The film continues to have a good run at the Aussie theatres too. The film has collected Australia $ 119,909 on 37 screens. In its second weekend, the film is currently at Position No. 15 slipping down from last week’s No. 13.
Middle-east Box Office
• Namastey London: The film has managed to get a fair run in the middle east too. The Akshay Kumar magic and the interesting east-west divide theme has been pulling in the audiences. The distributors across the middle east claim good collections for the Vipul Shah film especially at the Dubai box office.
