New Releases at the Box Office (13th April ’07)
• Life Mein Kabhi Kabhi / Bheja Fry: Both the films opened to dull response this Friday though the films are being screened at the multiplexes were they are doing a steady business. The feedback for the films indicate an improvement in the collections by the end of the weekend. The second film Bheja Fry has won crtical acclaim for the good comic timing in the film.
• Big Brother: The much delayed Sunny Deol film may have come at a wrong time for Priyanka Chopra who has had a series of successful films in the recent past. The film surprisingly opened well in the North with the predictable ‘Sunny Deol’ factor in it and managed 60% and above collection in this region. The film is doing below average elsewhere. In Mumbai, the film got 35% collections at the single screens and 15% on the few multiplexes it was released in. The film has not been released at the multiplexes at most places but majorly at the single screens. The film is looking good in the North and below average elsewhere.
