Deepika Padukone, a model turned actress has politely declined playing Salman Khan’s love interest in Boney Kapoor’s next film, which is going to be a remake of South hit Pokiri.4

Deepika is going to make her onscreen debut with Shahrukh Khan in Farah Khan’s Om Shanti Om.

Boney Kapoor’s friends say that he kept waiting for her at a suburban preview theatre for the screening of the original film, so that she could get a feel of her role. But she decided to back out at the last hour.
