Kareena honoured by Rotary Club

The Rotary Club honoured Kareena Kapoor with the Vocational Excellence Award for being the youngest achiever of the film industry. Bansi Dhurandhar Dist. Governor RI Dist. 3140, Mumbai presented Kareena with the award. The event is held on 1st Feb, 2009 at the Grand Hyattat Santacruz. Being bestowed with this honour by a global organization like Rotary that is known for its cross section of business and professional leaders and of service to communities across the world shows the immense popularity Kareena enjoys not only in back home but also on an international level. "It’s privilege that Kareena will be given this award. She feels great that she is being recognized for the work that she has done in the film industry," said a source close to Kareena. The news that the Vocational Excellence Award is being given to her took Kareena by surprise. The actress has been well versed with Rotary’s achievements in the global market and being honoured by the elitist club.
