The end of the year could see the celebrated lyricist and script writer turning director. The film would be produced by his son Farhan Akhtar.
Akhtar won the Padma Shri (1999) and the Padma Bhushan (2007). His son Farhan Akhtar is already a well known director-producer and his daughter Zoya will soon start her career as a director.
Akhtar, however, denies the rumours. “I am not going to direct any film.”
