‘My Bollywood Bride’ is the project of Dream Team Films Banner. Directed by Rajiv Virani, the film doesn’t boast of big names associated with it. Sanjay Suri is back after his tasteless stint in Bas Ek Pal. Kashmira Shah is cashing on the name and fame she got as a participant in Bigg Boss. Gulshan Grover is seen less onscreen and this one too has nothing of a role for the actor. Jason Lewis plays the main lead in this film.

The story of ‘My Bollywood Bride’ revolves around Alex, played by Jason Lewis. Alex is a Venice Beach ad copywriter by profession. His ultimate dream is to write a novel. Meanwhile, he meets Reena (Kashmira Shah) and romances her in the streets of California. Reena is an Indian by origin and is in America on a holiday.

Reena is a fickle minded person and is not able to decide her priorities. She inspires Alex to follow his dream and reach his ultimate goal. She likes Alex and feels for him but at the same time she doesn’t want to go against her parents who preach family values and traditions.

She leaves back for Mumbai without informing Alex about this. Alex follows her to Mumbai in quest of winning her back with loads of courage in his heart. Meanwhile, Reena is a Bollywood superstar and famous name in India. What happens next is the ways in which Alex tries to get his love back. A rickshaw driver helps him in this regard and things remain very mysterious till the very end.

The film may run well in the multiplexes and being a small budget venture, it will manage to cover up its money. As the trends are going, films without stars but good story are accepted by the audience.
