Shekhar Suman was turned down by Mahesh Bhatt for a role in his film Awarapan. Bhatt said he wasn’t right for this role and promised him another in his next film.

When asked about the role Shekhar said, “I was offered a good role, though it was a negative one but then Bhatt sahab said it would not suit me so I am not in Awarapan.”

However, he is acting in the Bhatt camp’s next film. “Yes, I am doing his next film. It’s a big opportunity to work with him and that’s appreciated.”
