After making two serious films, director Onir now wants to make a light hearted flick.

Although Onir’s first movie ‘My Brother Nikhil’ found critical acclaim, his last film ‘Bas Ek Pal’ appealed neither to the critics nor to masses.

Taking a break from serious subjects, Onir is now looking forward to pay a cinematic tribute to his former mentor Sai Paranjpye by re-making her 1981
movie ‘Chashme Baddoor’ that starred Farooq Sheikh, Deepti Naval, Ravi Vaswani and Rakesh Bedi.
