i saw provoked. the impression created was that it was made in someones backyard. ash only had 3 weeks to do the movie in and it clearly showed in her acting. like most bollywood actresses who tries and squeezes in as many movies as they can, the result showed in the movie. what was supposed to be a heartwrenching movie about an abused women who made legal history in the UK turned out to be a mish-mash of “emotions” (i use the term loosely). ash clearly is not cut out to do heard core cinema where it requires more than your looks to make the scene. like her other “hollywood” movies it hardly left an impression and went straight to DVD, just as Mistress of Spices, Last Legion, etc. The more the marketing machine works to ty and convince us she can act, the more obvious it becomes she cannot. This was a great opportunity for Ash to leave a lasting impression as a movie to be remembered, because she was the central character. Unfortunately, Ash, as she has proven in the past, cannot hold a movie on her own. she is a celebrity cum star, whose is just an actress by the way.Like the title it was meant to “provoke” an outcry regarding women abuse..all everyone focussed on was the fact that it was another “hollywood” movie by a bollywood actress. cannot understand the hype.
