She may have the country’s (and probably UK’s too) eligible bachelors lusting after her, but ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ winner Shilpa Shetty is totally bowled over by Dharmendra.
Yes, you heard right! “Dharamji made me swoon in ‘Apne’. I love him; He’s so sweet,” she gushes.
Ask her about her old flame Akshay Kumar and his tell-all TV interview and she says, “It’s crazy and absurd. In Britain, a new celebrity is fodder for unending speculation and the fact that I don’t live in London gives them leverage to write even more speculative stuff about me.”
As for Akki spilling the beans on their relationship, she says, “I don’t need to make headlines through him. When Akshay was in London for ‘Namastey London’ they asked him only about me. It’s ridiculous. Why should he talk about me? He’s happy with his life and I with mine.”
Fortunately, her new found fame hasn’t changed her. “Nothing lasts forever. I don’t make a big deal about what has happened. I’d just like to move on, consolidate on the advantage that I’ve gained and do great work.”
Her fans can watch her soon on screen in ‘Metro’. “The film is about accepting our shortcomings and trying to achieve our dreams in a metropolitan city.”
