Subhash Ghai says, “In my career, I’ve groomed actors into stardom only for one reason - I never wanted to work with superstars. I wanted to create them because then they respect you and look up to you.”
“After three years, when they change, I take on other newcomers. Right from the beginning I have worked with Shatrughan Sinha who was playing a villain that time instead of Rajesh Khanna, Amitabh Bachchan or Kamal Haasan,” he chuckles.
“The moment an actor considers himself to be a ‘superstar’, they are good for the audiences but not for my relaxation, peace of mind and creative space,” says commendably.
