Even as Rang De Basanti has been selected by the Film Federation of India (FFI) to represent India at the Oscar Awards later next year, one of television`s well known vamps Urvashi Dholakia has decided to do some good. Dholakia also known as Komolika in Star Tv`s popular show Kasautii Zindagi Kay, is producing a show called Rang De Basanti Salaam.
On the coming Monday on October 2 on the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi`s birth anniversary, Urvashi`s programme with Aamir Khan as the host will go on air.
Inspired by the film Rang De Basanti,this show aims at honouring people who have made a difference to the society by bringing in changes. Aamir Khan was brought in as anchor keeping in mind the impact created by Rang De Basanti post release.
“We want to honour those celebrities who have managed to change the world. These winners of the Rang De… Awards are people who have managed to change the society,” says Dholakia.
