Hrithik Roshan was crowned Best Actor at the Nokia 15th Annual Star Screen Awards with Priyanka Chopra winning Best Actress.
Hrithik’s gong came for his portrayal of the Emperor Akbar in the epic saga Jodhaa Akbar while Piggy-Chops bagged hers for the hard hitting flick Fashion.
The night, which saw numerous awards besotted upon Jodhaa Akbar, was marred by controversy as Nokia Popular Viewers’ Choice Award winner Akshay Kumar (for Singh Is Kinng) refused to collect his trophy insisting that fellow actor Aamir Khan should have got it for Ghajini.

The judges of this award function were biased. Otherwise how can Jodha Akbhar win so many awards including da award for the best actor!!! I was shocked !!! I hoped SRK would win it for RNBDJ but wouldn’t have been so surprised if Aamir got it for Ghajini. Hrithik winning it over both these actors is a big shock!!!
Akshay is crazy for not accepting da award he received. It’s non of his business who bags the awards, his job is to collect his own.
This whole industry is going mad nowadays!!!

thank god i didnt watch da awards seems hrithik roshan bribes da judges 2 win coz he didnt deserve da award
Why do they create awards such as the most popular actress just to appease the presence of the Bachchans ? I also cannot believe the awards for the song from Bachna Ae Hasino. So many better songs and so many better renditions. I would have liked Sukhwinder Singh to win for his rendition of the melodious Haule Haule. A simple song with good lyrics and a song that grows on you the more you listen to it. This catchy song whose essene so well captured through Sukhwinder’s voice deserved to win. I still hope that he is nominated for the Filmfare Award and wins it.
I am not an Aamir fan and truly I did not like Ghajini but he deserved to win the Best Actor award.
