 Akshay Kumar, the real superstar of Bollywood, who now claims to be King of Bollywood (in his song rendered by him in ʽChandni Chowk To Chinaʼ) and undoubtedly he is.., has paid the highest advance tax, of Rs 19 crore (till December 15, 2008…as per the sources).
His annual income has been estimated about over 80 crore rupees. Shah Rukh Khan has paid Rs. 15 crores (as income tax). Last year, Shah Rukhʼs advance tax payment was Rs. 31 crores while Akshayʼs was of Rs. 12 crores. Trade experts say that paying high tax means the actor is working and earning more.
