High secrecy was maintained over whom was going to be signed opposite the musician-singer turned actor. Names that floated around in the media circles ranged from that of Priyanka Chopra to model Shivani Kapoor.
But it was newcomer Hansika who managed to grab the film. She was last seen as a child star in Star Plus’ hit series Kyunki…Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi in 2004.
She had also been signed a film opposite Mithun Chakraborty’s son Mimoh, He – The Only One, few months back, but the film is still stuck in the making.
