The week long Man’s World Western India Polo Championship 2007 with Deutsche Bank, Mumbai Polo’s premier tournament culminated with the Grand Finale on Saturday, March 17, 2007 at The ARC Polo Ground (inside Mahalakshmi Race Course), Mumbai. The event is part of the Indian Polo season, which started last year in Kolkata, moved to Delhi, then to Jaipur, back to Delhi and now three weeks in Mumbai. It was an event that featured a fine mix of the corporate, glamour and sports that kept the pulse racing, not only of the horses and the players but also the spectators.
The matches were packed with thrilling moments for avid polo fans. Teams from around the country and some of the sport’s top professional players participated in this prestigious Polo Tournament, including Kingfisher First, Indian Navy, Piramal Enterprise and SIXT Polo. The players in action included leading stars like Sunjay Kapur, Angad Kalaan, Uday Kalaan, Adhiraj Singh, Harsh Piramal, Manupal Godara, Abhimanyu Pathak and Dhruvpal Godara.
Members of Amateur Rider’s Club of Mumbai that participated in this championship included Dinyar Madon, Kamran Ahmed and Mitesh Mehta. The teams that participated in the finals yesterday were Piramal Enterprise and Indian Navy captained by Harsh Piramal and Manupal Godara respectively.

Showcasing a collection fashioned with cool crisp linens, cottons and textured flax designed in Arjun’s trademark signature style – Bandgalas, Jackets, Sherwanis, Shirts, Jodhpurs, Trousers and Suits, the collection signified the casually sexy style for the man with attitude, who looks and feels like royalty and yet is subtly and fashionably unkempt.
Amongst the guests that were seen enjoying the evening were Parvez Damania, Simone Tata, Bandana Tiwari, Dolly Thakore, Samir and Palak Seth, Ashwin Deo, Suheil Sheth, bollywood star Upen Patel, Society queen Parmeshwar Godrej with Neeta Ambani, Elite models Vipasha Agarwal and Urvashi Sharma, Karishma and husband Sunjay Kapur,Zebha Kohli, Vinta Nanda and designer Salim Asgarally, restauranteur AD Singh and ad man – Pralad Khakar. Exitement filed the air as actress Tara Sharma was seen riding a white horse in a stunning Arjun Khanna outfit as part of the presentation by the master couturier.
