  1. Ghajini is a full movie.. it gives u a sweet love story…romance…
inocence… hatter… psycho person… action… music… which means it’s a perfect movie… Ghajini has made the a new taste for the bollywood audionce because after movie everyone would want a perfect movie like this…. Amir is superb he has shown all his acting skills… Aamir being a corporate businessman…Aamir as a Lover… Aamir is psycho… Aamir’s action… every act he has handled it’s a perfect acting one can do… we can call Aamir “Russel Crew” of bollywood… so Aamir is only king of Bollywood… now coming to RBDJ it’s an average movie… sharukh acting as a simple man is great… but as Raj “stylish boy” is chiller, so down below expectation… RBDJ story is normal hindi love story… it’s a bit illogical… One not knowing her husband without mustaches is stupid & childish kidding… so movie was good but can not compete with Ghajini…. Sharukh did different roles but with same acting skills… Aamir did different roles but with different acting skills… Aamir went inside the role… with thanx movies such as ghajini will get the level of bollywood high… Simply it was best… worth watching both movies…

    RBDJ 2/5
    Ghajini 4.5/5

amazing and so is srk in rab ne

  4. rockyboy on December 26th, 2008 at 11:52 pm
  5. to be honest both are amazing movie.
if srk hav promoted rnbj like ghajini it would also had 100% opening
likewise if ghajini was released on dec 12 instead of rnbj it would hav got same response as rnbj ,may be less.

  27. I thank heartily to those who have choosen rab ne a better film than gajni coz it is completely a family film unlike gajni.srk have shown again that he is best in doing romentic films than any other actor.it is not only meant for girls but also teaches boys what actually love is.

  29. ghajini released with 9 days first week and 4 days weekend….it released in metroes on wednesday itself……while singh and king and rab ne would have released with 2 days weekend and 7 days first week…if ghajini would have released for 7 days first week and with just 2 days weekend it could not have netted more than 40 crores which rab ne and singh is kinng did….also ghajini released with 1100 prints in india only while rab ne released with just 800 prints….so one can calculate per print collection………besides i watched ghajini on thursday itself and had lots of expectations from an aamir khan movie….was expecting to be of hollywood standards but surprisingly i found it to be of rajnikant standards….i was able to see rajnikant, chiranjivi and nagarjuna simultaneouly in aamir..it was pathetic……i am still having short term head aches every 15 minutes after watching ghajini….

  31. RNBDJ, is the best and the soft story, even a family can watch it, and the songs are marvellous, This film has been liked and loved by sober ppl. Because it is a decent film….And far to speak of competing with Ghajini…. This Amir, or Akshay ….or … ** others ** just forget and ignore them…because they don’t even deserve to be though either…Anyway * Songs particularly TUJH MEIN RAB DIKHTA HAI…and …HAULE HAULE…and the film itself is very good… SRK looks very charming and cute, while Amir looks horribe, ( soryy, fans ) in his get up….So, in short we very much liked RNBDJ……and its 100%, excellent…and yes thats true, in crisis ADI +SRK dared to release the film, and that as well with not enough promotion either…and still it did best considering all the factors, We love you SRK, KING KHAN, and really proud of you….the golden heart man….Salute to you….

  32. Saim on December 28th, 2008 at 12:59 am
  33. I don’t know why they didn’t publish my comments???? All I said for SRK, THE GREAT KING KHAN…. I think …..well, all I was trying to say that in the crisis time Adi + SRK dared to release the film and that as wel without enough promotion….. I bet no one will dare to release the film at that time….but salute to SRK and Adi, they did….And RNBDJ …is an excellent film, of 2008 and the songs are priceless… SRK you are great…..

  34. Saim on December 28th, 2008 at 1:04 am

  53. Ghajini Ghajini Ghajini alll the way is unarguably the best movie of the year. Rab Ne is simply light hearted mindless entertainment, no logical sense required and performances are average nothing great as expected from an SRK film. Aamir on the other hand have put his mind, heart and soul into Ghajini. Excellent story execution and performances by Aamir, Asin and the actor playing the negative role. Even after you leave the cinema and reach home Ghajini movie and Aamir’s superb act leaves a strong impact on you!! All awards to Ghajini!!

  69. both movies are good…but i liked RNBDJ more…Ghajini could have been better than this as i personally felt that the villain titled “ghajini” wasn’t powerful enough and also was too much violent and with typical tamil touch, i only like the love story and Asin was excellent..where as RNBDJ was cute, sweet and simple love story

  75. I think both movies were good to watch. But I think Ghajini is the overall winner out of the two. Aamir Khan’s acting was better than Shah Rukh Khan’s, Asin’s acting was better than Anushka’s. The only thing RNBJ had better was the music/dance sequences… Guzarish was the only wkd number obviously in Ghajini.
    RNBJ = 7/10 – Girly movie
    Ghajini = 9/10 – Guys movie

AND 15 MINUTE MEMORY LOSS was the best dialogue overall :o )

  79. I have never been such a “BIG” fan of Aamir Khan but have always admired his creative decisions when it came to the projects he chose. I have appreciated his work in such films like Mann, Lagaan, Dil Chahta Hai, Fanaa, and Taare Zameen Par. However, this time around with Ghajini I felt the need to express my thoughts.

This critic is purely based on watching the Hindi Version. I have not seen the Tamil version but I hear they are quite similar. So, here are my thoughts:

    1. Aamir: I praise Aamir for putting in all the hard work for the specific look needed for the movie. To simply put it you were an animal on screen in a good way. GGGRRRRR. You had your signature facial expressions which were much appreciated in the comic scenes between you and asin.

Although your costumes on the other hand ….. some outfits just did not make you look good with the big muscular body and your height. The outfits were most definitely fashionable. If they were picked out correctly it would have enhanced your height and made you look tall with this great body instead of looking like a squished in G.I. Joe running around. There was only one outfit that made you look fantastic. It was in the song Guzairish. The purple shirt and bright green scarf most definitely enhanced your overall look 

    2. Asin: (Keep in mind this is before I saw her act) When Asin was first introduced in a random song from nowhere, I was shocked that she was chosen as the lead actress. Tell you the truth my first initial reaction was who the heck is she?? When she was performing to this random song her figure seemed to look awkward. I was trying to figure out why does she look so awkward? Then I noticed that she has some very thick thighs and big hips. That was the AHA moment. She should have slimmed out her legs a bit so that the full figure shots, not just in that song but come to think of it “IN THE ENTIRE MOVIE”, would have looked much better. I see why she was just filmed from the hips and above. Don’t get me wrong she looks magnificent but those full figure shots were just not cutting it.

Putting aside her hips, after watching her performance I see can why see was chosen as the lead actress. She delivers her lines flawlessly. She most definitely lights up the screen even surpassing Aamir in some scenes. I enjoyed her performance very much. I did forget about her awkward full figure shots up until another random song like Bekha or Guzairish is thrown into the storyline.

    3. Storyline: There are 2 things I most definitely HATED in the storyline. Which were the Diaries and the police officer character. The way this storyline was written was very poor when it came to creativity. Seriously a diary to tell the back story of Sanjay and through a useless character “the police officer” who gets killed randomly by a bus and bye bye character who I thought would go further in the story. Especially, since he took up so much time in the first half of the movie WTF.

The most ridiculous moment in the movie was when “the police officer” is done reading the 2005 diary and can’t find the second one. He seemed like some crazy Harry Potter fanatic who couldn’t wait for the next installment to come out. It’s just ridiculous a police officer hooked on a romance story wanting to know if Sanjay gets engaged or not…. So, he goes and tries to wake Sanjay up by beating him… “tell me what happens next tell me… did you marry her I must know. ” C’mon really. I know why this character was put in the storyline but you guys could have come up with a better solution instead of letting the diaries and a random character unfold the back story even if was in the tamil version.

The whole idea of the short term memory loss was quite intriguing when I first heard about this movie. Momento came to mind but I had to put momento aside since this is bollywood. I wanted to go in the theater with an open mind. So I did and was disappointed that the short term memory loss concept played such a backdrop to the movie. Sure we saw his condo filled with all these things he has collected to help him live his daily life but we never really saw him live his life. There should have been more scenes of him actually trying to re-trace his steps or at least show how he lives his day. You guys used his short term memory loss when it was convenient to the storyline. For Example: in the climax of the story when sunity and sanjay are chasing ghajini…. um hello that chase in actuality would have been way over 15minutes and Sanjay would have totally forgotten what’s happening.. what was sunity going to do stop the bike and be like “dude chill out for a minute we are on chase trying to kill this MTF” C’mon now. So, the only one scene in the entire movie that actually shows is illness is when he is done beating up those guys and all the sudden his illness kicks in. I know it’s a bollywood movie and you guys were probably like “itna toh chalta hai” well give us movie goers some credit. We want to see some reality incorporated into the mix or at least stay honest to this short term memory loss concept like momento did.

    4. The music was terrible. I expected more from A.R.Rahman. Guzairish is the only song that highlights the movie. All the other songs are a waste of time and are not story specific.

    5. Cinematography: All I can say about Ravi K. Chandran is that he is just amazing. His talent makes any movie look great.

To answer the inevitable question of which Khan rocked the theaters it would most definitely be Shah Rukh Khan all the way. Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi has everything a movie goer is looking for. Ghajini is a TOTAL hardcore bollywood mix masala which some like but is not as sophisticated as the rest of Aamir’s portfolio of work.

  87. who de hell say tat ghajini is de best…srk 1’s again proved tat any role 4 him is vry esay doing…rab ne was also given such a big promotion lyk ghajini it would have created a mind blowing opening…but with their such a mild promos it have collected a 90 crore profit in de 1st week…ghajini being de remake of de tamil movie ghajini is having de similar punch…evn srk would rock aamir’s role if it was done by him….rab rock’s than ghajini….bucz it has very good songs ..& comodies compared with ghajini….therefore ..”RAB NE BANA DI JODI’…IS SUPERB…

  89. For me it was RNBDJ.It was original film for a start.Suri’s character was unique and it was a light hearted film.I came out of the cinema forgetting all about the violence, recession and all my personal worries.I believe critics have been too harsh on this one.Ghajini was ok and Aamir was good.Apart from that it was just like another so so movie

    RNBDJ 5/5
    Ghajini 2/5

  90. chandini on January 2nd, 2009 at 4:56 pm
  91. Ghajini is only doing well because of huge promotion.Especially near the Mumbai blasts it was insensitive.RNBDJ was exceptional. We needed a film like this. Its such a shame it does not receive the credit it deserves.I tryly pray it wins Best Film and Shahrukh wins best actor and Anushka best newcomer. She was unbelievable and is much better then Asin.RNBDJ is a blaaaaast

  92. aliya on January 2nd, 2009 at 5:01 pm
  93. For the guy who wrote RNBDJ is feminine and Ghajini is a bomb must be GAY.Poor person who will be your partner in life.RNBDJ is a BLOCKBUSTER

I jst donno knw why he is always under estimated…..
