Yesterday’s news that Rang De Basanti is India’s nomination for the Foreign Film category for next year’s Academy Awards, has come as a surprise for the film’s main lead hero Aamir Khan.
The Bollywood pin-up expected the Sanjay Dutt starrer Lage Raho Munna Bhai to be selected nd not his controversial film Rang De Basanti.
Aamir Khan said today at the press conference to celebrate Rang De Basanti’s selection for the Oscars from India as a suprise because he expected Lage Raho Munna Bhai to go.
Aamir added that he would however try and improve on the Lagaan performance at the Oscars.
