Aftab’s stereotyped cute loverboy image in Hindi films has done him more harm than good. Not only was there a dearth in variety of roles that were offered to him, filmmakers even did not see him as an actor who can carry a film solely on his shoulders.
According to Sanjay Gupta, Aftab has a potential but has not been given right roles by filmmakers.Sanjay Gupta has signed Aftab for his Chicago-based production titled ‘Jazbaa’.
Aftab has been deliberately trying to change his image recently. He has slimmed down, developed biceps and brawny physique, got tattoos on his shoulder and changed his hairdo.
