ESCADA ENTERS INDIA
Escada opens up new markets while opening new flagship stores in India
In line with ESCADA’s continuing evolution as a modern, contemporary luxury brand, ESCADA opens up new markets. The target is to launch and position ESCADA in the Indian market as one of the evolving markets for luxury fashion. Two ESCADA flagship stores open their doors in Mumbai on March 14, 2007 (one at Banra and the other at Colaba) and another shop will open in Delhi in the months to come. ESCADA selected S. Kumars Nationwide as the exclusive distribution partner for this project. In total, seven shops are planned to open within the next two years.
To celebrate the arrival of ESCADA in India, Frank Rheinboldt, CEO of ESCADAGROUP, and Jyoti and Nitin Kasliwal (accompanied by son Kartike and daughter Anjani) of S. Kumars Nationwide hosted an exclusive Escada evening..
The Taj Hotel Crystal Rooms were transformed into an uber cool space a plush Club
-stylecocktail lounge – Club ESCADA. Moody with low lights, sofas in elegant black
velvet, with matched Escada cushions, mirrors and an abundance of Swarovski
Crystals with tablesholding centrepiece of an fish tank with black fish .
Guests entered the dining room, where a state of the art steely catwalk dominated the room. Again the décor was Black and silver as the key colors. Guests drank the finest wines the world has to offer out of glasses encrusted with ESCADA in Swarovski and dined on a gastronomic five course menu from the finest china. After the show and dinner a vast array of desserts were served back in Club ESCADA along with liqueurs and digestives.
A glamorous fashion show presenting the elegant ESCADA Spring/Summer 2007 collection and the performances of singer Sonia de Meglio and DJ Monsieur Velvet from Paris were the highlights of this very special evening. Special guests dressed in Escada included Samantha Nayar, Anjani Kasliwal, Sunita Menon.
