Amitabh Bachchan arrived to a rapturous welcome on Friday to the city of joy, Kolkata. When he left Kolkata way back in the 1960s, the city was very different and Amitabh was not Big B.

Big B is now back in town to act in Rituparno Ghosh’s first English film, The Last Lear based on a play by Utpal Dutt.

“It is wonderful to be back in the city. I have seen just a little bit of it. But it looks like there have been lots of changes, lots of progress.,” said Amitabh.
