In close competition with Aishwarya Rai, Shilpa Shetty and Lisa Ray, Mallika Sherawat has turned out to be an eventual winner to bag the prestigious film UNVEILED.
A Bill Bannerman film, who has been associated with films like ‘Bridges of Madison County’, ‘The Grudge 2′, ‘Walking Tall’, ‘The Hulk’’, ‘Payback’, ‘Mission Impossible’, ‘Star Trek: First Contact’ and more, UNVEILED is a true-blue Hollywood project about a Muslim Woman who has two husbands and a lover.
Apparently Mallika was called for a screen test in US and she passed with flying colors. Before that the film maker had also seen her distinct films like MURDER, THE MYTH and PYAAR KE SIDE EFFECTS and was impressed with the range of her work.
For Mallika, it is a commendable achievement since after managing to have Jackie Chan touch Indian shores for THE MYTH, she has managed to get a film maker of the repute of Bill Bannerman to come to India and announce a project with her.
With sheer hard work, grit and determination, she has brushed aside all controversies and scathing press remarks to emerge victorious. In fact as per sources, she took all the anti-remarks post THE MYTH in her stride and used them positively for her to move ahead in her career and aim for something bigger and better.
With a synopsis that reads “Behind the dark burkha, there lies a sexy, manipulative victim, who’s dangerous as well as in grave danger”, UNVEILED definitely sounds bigger and better!
