Anil Sharma has shown his potential as a director in his mega hit ‘Gadar’. He is currently working on ‘Apne’ which has an ensemble casting of father and sons, Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby Deol. The movie is being shot in India and Thailand and must be ready for release by July this year.
‘Apne’ has very special story which is close to the hearts of the Deol family. It’s subject is born out of the most important aspect of Indian life – Family. Indian men have time and again sacrificed their dreams of winning the world over to keep their families intact.
Dharmendra plays the character of ex-boxer Baldev Chaudhury who has a stain in his boxing career. He dreams to wash it with his son Angad’s (Sunny Deol) success, but financial incapability kept him away from achieving this dream. Baldev never forgets the person who ruined his chance to wash the stain.
