Tusshar Kapoor decides not to hold Golmaal Returns celebration party
Actor Tusshar Kapoor was planning to hold a huge party to celebrate the success of his last film, Golmaal Returns, but because of the 26/11 Mumbai attacks, has decided not to do so.
"I had tentatively decided to have this party this week now I won’t have the party in light of the tragedy that’s taken place. I was in Cape Town when I heard the news on Nov 26 and was up all night watching the news," said Tusshar.
"How can I celebrate when so many lives have been lost and so much mass destruction has taken place? It would be selfish and callous. I am depressed and saddened by the whole tragedy. I used to go to the Taj and Oberoi all the time. My naani used to stay close by in Colaba. Now things won’t ever be the same," he added.
Tusshar was away when the attacks took place, but as soon as he was made aware of them, he called up to check if his family were safe. "I am feeling so low… everyone seems to be either sad or angry. This is no time to party. I won’t be having any celebrations till things get back to normalcy. People are not just in the mood. You know the strange thing is I never had a big party earlier. This would have been my first but right now, I don’t want to celebrate anything… maybe… not even New Year’s Eve… I hope the New Year brings happiness for everyone," concluded Tusshar.
